First off, it is always good to know that you are missed when gone. Inspirations never seem to die. . .

I was told to write a satire for a school project, so I wrote about something I will never have. Perhaps out of sheer hatred and annoyance. . .

Local psychologists recently did research on the male and female adolescent minds of today's era. One such doctor states, "The unique demeanors and dispositions of the average adolescent are becoming more evolved and matured. Rapidly developing in the imminent future, we will see the modifications well in process." Researchers admonish parents to be wary of their teenagers as they will gradually succumb to the effects of the ever pressing distortion and elimination of social classes, and may even represent this new 'label' with much pride and admiration. When asked by a concerned mother in the viscinity, what indications of vicissitude will be evident in her child's behavioral habits, medical doctor promptly responded. "Your children will develop a larger mental stability, and will be capable of intellectual reasoning without the aid of others. For example, instead of ensuing the fashion of the more known and popular youths, your child will utilize their new found mental stamina to adorn themselves with what he/she may deem more appropriate for their individual person."

After being exposed to the obvious crisis that will be effecting their youths, one concerned parent dared to question, "Will it still be correct to term the children as teenagers?" After much thought, consideration, and countless hours spent in the labs, specialists finally produced an answer. "It is to our great dismay that the term 'teenager' will no longer be suitable for these youths anymore. They will have surpassed the stages of the, what was, teenage life style at a much younger age. They will be ready to lead a more sensible and fruitful lifestyle with their new attitudes, and become more respectful human beings."

One may be assured that other aspects of this drastic change will include the ability to rationalize and produce work of a greater clarity and meaning. Their speech will no longer be muddled and unidentifiable, and they will not feel peculiar urges to destroy our surroundings by throwing their garbage on the floors, or by putting their estranged art work on public walls and everything that happens in their path. No longer will there be useless gossip thrown around to every ear listening, or the intent to start needless disputes and arguments. Social circles will be eliminated, as will all trends. One's child might even begin to bring kids their own age, but of different ethnic backgrounds to their parent's homes. Their values of friendship will take on a new guise, as their horizons expand to more than just the tips of their noses. They will not focus on appearance, and will forget name brands ever existed. Therefore, clothes will become less costly to the parent, and less time consuming to decide which article of clothing they prefer best. Even the amount of sleep intake will be dramatically reduced, as they will learn to awake at more sensible times of the day. Including that of the weekend. One will find that normal household chores will be getting completed in a timely manner without berating the child much, if at all. The corruption of drugs and alcohol will be exorbitantly reduced, as the children feel the need to rid themselves of such harmful substances. The dependency on abused chemicals will be dismissed, as they find a self worth within themselves, and a desire to protect their minds and bodies. School will also become a more prominent factor for the adolescents, and they will repress goads to ditch classes. As they become more knowledgeable and dependable, they will come to the strict realization that their education is significant for them to make anything of themselves. Thus, also reducing the number of street dwellers, and unemployed persons in the future. The economy will flourish with the development of more agricultural resources through the minds of the future leaders. And by them working so tirelessly, it provides the elderly with a more comfortable lifestyle, and secure safety among them. The world will be, in some respect, a better place to dwell.

Changes will differ slightly from child to child, but the overall effect will stand out with a bold efficiency that no other can deny. Adolescents will create and consume the only known social class. They will render it with such a unique and foreign name to them, as they sacrifice their previous ways of life to this new wonder. Through a concentrated effort of intellect, they have mustered but one word that will properly describe their new social class. It was named Individuality.
